I will be reviewing the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush today. I have it in the colour dazzled which is a soft rose colour. It is a very neutral colour for my skin tone. It’s like my natural flushed cheeks right after I exercise, without me having to workout :p It happens to be the first Tarte product that I have started using. They come in a wide range of colours and honestly picking just one was very hard. All the colours look so gorgeous. There are a total of 14 shades. Some of the other ones I really like for the summer are blissful(shimmering warm peach) and glisten(shimmering peachy pink).
Ingredients
The best thing about Tarte products is that they are cruelty free and vegan and always formulated without parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, triclosan, sodium lauryl sulfate, gluten. These blushes contains(from sephora’s website)
-Vitamins A and E: Act as anti-inflammatory emollients and protect against free radical damage.
-Vitamin C: Fights free radical damage and prevents oxidative stress and premature signs of aging while brightening skin.
-Amazonian Clay: Reduces dryness and flakiness, improves skin clarity, elasticity, firmness, and texture while removing oil from the skin’s surface for smooth application and wear.
The claim
The blush is long wearing and lasts 12hours. It is also suitable for all skin types.
Results
They last a long time. It doesn’t even matter which foundation your wearing under it. They even lasted on very humid and hot summer days without getting patchy or flaky. Absolutely love the quality of the product. They are also very easily blend able. I works wonderfully on both dry skin and oily skin.
The only problem I have with this blush is that it is hard to pick up a good amount of the product on the brush. I usually have to go in several times to get the product to show on my cheeks. Also it’s important to use a good quality brush for this product. Maybe it’s just the colour I have, so I definitely want to try some brighter and more vibrant colours.
Overall it’s not my favourite blush and feel like there are some better ones in the market for this price. But if you still want to try these blushes, I would recommend getting a vibrant colour.
