Walking through the mall today, I was stopped by a beautiful lady who said that my skin has a beautiful glow and asked which highlighter I was using. The funny thing is I wasn’t using a highlighter. We then had a detailed discussing of what I was wearing on my face. This incident is the inspiration for today’s post.
Here is the look I was wearing which is also my everyday “No makeup” makeup look. I wear a very similar look on a daily basis. After I have moisture my face here are the steps to achieve the glowing look.
Step 1: Primer
The first step to that perfectly glow in skin is using a radiant primer. I think it makes a huge difference if your trying to achieve that beautiful healthy glow.
Two of my favourites are the Laura Mercier Radiant Primer and L’oreal Magic Lumi
Laura Mercier Radiant Primer: It is a beautiful creamy formula, which goes on the skin very smoothly.
L’oreal Magic Lumi: It gives a high subtle glow, however I don’t think it helps in any other way i.e. covering pores, hydrating or increasing the longevity of your makeup.
Step 2 : Foundation
For this I used my l’oreal true match lumi. I use in the shade W4. You can read my full review here.
Step 3 : Concealor
Inglot: This is a new purchase. I gently tap it on the under eyes in an inverted triangle. I always set my under eyes with a translucent powder. My current go to in the Makeup Forever HD setting powder.
Step 4 : For a everyday look, I don’t do a full contour and highlight. I only use a bit of bronzer and blush. I use the bronzer in the Smashbox Master class Palette 2 which I bought a few years ago and Mac blush in Pinch O’ Peach, which is an all time favourite of mine.
Step 5 : Finish other things
(Don’t contribute to the glow on the skin but needed to complete the look )
I don’t need to fill in my brows a lot so I gently go over them with the sephora crayon retractable eye brow pencil in soft charcoal. I don’t even wear eye shadow everyday maybe just maybelline colour tattoo in bad to the bronze all over the lid, followed by L’oreal infallible super slim eye liner and Marc Jacobs blacquer crayon on the water line. These are some of my all time favourites that I can’t live without. they don’t smudge all day and give an excellent finish. Mascara I don’t have a favourite and keep switching it up to try different samples that come in various sets.
On the lips I am wearing Mother, Liquid lipstick by Kat Von D.
I finally set everything with the cult favourite Mac fix plus. It add a dewy finish and keeps everything in pace for the long day ahead.
And that is everything I do, to achieve a healthy natural glowing look during the morning.
It’s a easy look I wear almost daily. Thanks for reading guys.
