Tarte Maracuja Lip Exfoliant

I have very dry lips and they were in need to some love specially in the dry winter weather and with all the liquid lipsticks I am loving these days. I decided to try the Tarte Maracuja Lip Treatment. I like Tarte cosmetics mainly because they contain all natural ingredients  and are cruelty free. For a product that will be applied on the lips I feel like it’s important to pay attention to what the ingredients.

The Claim

“A powerful resurfacing lip scrub that exfoliates lips then provides instant hydration—quenching lips with no greasy or filmy feel.”

My Experience

It is a very gently exfoliant with micro particles. It feels very gentle on the lips.

The exfoliant are in a Vaseline like base, which makes the process feel moisturizing as well. I gently massage the products on the lips in circular motions and all the dead skin comes right off. It is gentle enough to be used everyday, which is what I have been doing. The moisturizing effect lasts for quite a long time and I do like that.

It has a minty taste and feels refreshing on the lips.

It isn’t too abrasive so if that is something your looking for this wouldn’t work.

Would I buy it again? Probably not just because I want to try other lip exfoliants in the market 😉

Thanks for reading my lovelies ❤️

I think I prefer the exfoliation from Tarte but the Tarte one dries out my lips a bit (and I don’t care for the mint), whereas Fresh leaves behind a little oil protect and soften the lips.
