Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Palette

This is my first ever Too Faced chocolate bar palette. I couldn’t resist the packaging. The pink metal case on the outside, the heart shaped eyeshadows and the smell of chocolate. Everything I love in one 😍☺️

So I treated myself to this beautiful palette this Valentine’s Day!!

Let me just say right off that I absolutely love this palette, especially for the way it smells and the packaging.

Here are the swatches, the names of the eyeshadows are super cute. All swatches are in natural light without any filters. I have done one swipe of each colour without any eye primer .

About The Product

This is the third palette by Too Faced in their chocolate bar series.

“An eye palette from the Chocolate Bar Eye Shadow Collection with 16 heart-shaped, cocoa powder-enriched eye shades in brights and neutrals. This palette features matte and shimmer eye shades in cool pops of color, brights, and beautiful neutrals. Each is infused with Too Faced’s chocolate-scented, antioxidant-rich, cocoa powder formula.”

Too Faced products are cruelty free and gluten free.

It retails for $59CAD at Sephora.

My Experience

These eyeshadows are so buttery and smooth. They blend like a dream. The colours swatch beautifully. There is almost negligible fall out. I love that since I like to do my eyes after my foundation.

I also love the colour selection. There are some beautiful transition shades – my favourite is bordeaux and mocha.

highlight shades – Satin sheets for the inner corner and divinity which is a matte shade looks beautiful on the brow bone

Base shade – pecan praline (for all over the eyelid) works well on my skin tone

Bright shades and pops of colour.

I absolutely love the brown shades in this palette and bordeaux is my new favourite transition shade. I feel like I am in blending heaven when I use this shade in my crease.

It is possible to create a complete look with just this palette, which makes it a palette I could travel with.

Cons

The only downside I find is that when I apply some of these shadows on my eye lids they don’t really show up. I have tried it with a wet brush, sprayed mac fix plus on the brush and even tried it with a eye primer. Even though they show up so well when I swatch them. I find that the shades especially the pinks like cotton candy, sprinkles and even Cafe au lait take some effort to give a good colour payoff. I was kind of heart broken since I had high expectations from this palette.

Overall I like this palette. I don’t regret purchasing it what so ever and reach for it a lot. This is my current go to palette for everyday looks. OH!!and the smell is to die for. But that being said I don’t think this is the best palette in the market for this price.

Thank you for reading lovelies. Hope you found the review useful.

I would love to get this palette simply because I am a suckered for the packaging. I really want to get the Sweet Peach one though when it comes out. The colours are more my style in that one. Great post!

I am also an IT professional so it was lovely to find your blog! I followed you 🙂

I have been loving this palette and did not have a hard time getting the shades to show up on me. I did notice the colors crease on my eyes though at the end of the day 😦
